Waboba: Ball That Bounces on Water
Fun water ball Fun water ball but really meant for use at the beach but we have used it at the pool.
A stress ball by any other name A wellmade squishyball. But when I held a gardenvariety lycracovered gel stress ball in one hand and a Waboba ball in the other I really couldn't tell any difference. Yes the Waboba skips in the water but I'd wager that a stress ball would do similarly. Waboba's not a BAD toy. It just strikes me as a stress ball that you pay twice as much for because of the fancy name and the included gamesheet. I'd recommend picking up a brightlycolored stress ball and trying it out at the beach first. If it works you've saved a few bucks. If it doesn't at least you can still use it as a stressball while you wait for the Waboba you ordered to come in. [NOTE Don't give up if the stressball doesn't work on the first try the Waboba's a little temperamental and takes some finesse to master.
Bought for Hawaii Saw this and decided to get it for a trip to Hawaii very glad I did. Used it in the ocean and it took some getting use to but it was not hard to get it to bounce and/or skip. We made up a game where we had to increase the number of skips on the water by one after every throw challenging and fun. Would not recommend for a pool unless its huge we were about 20 yards apart when we played.
Do not buy does not bounce as stated This product does not bounce as the manufacturer claims. We tried it in a swimming pool and beach with no waves and nothing. We were so disappointed don't waste your money on this.
Fun Have hours of fun in the pool with your children. My boys just loved throwing and catching this ball.
Cool water ball! Silly little ball thrilled the kids! Bounced unbelievably in the water and kept them entertained for a long time.
fun Ball's a lot of fun to play catch with. Takes a couple of times to figure out exactly how to throw it best.
Super fun on a lake/ocean/large pool. I got this ball because I was going to Lake Tahoe and wanted something to play with while on the lake. This ball is perfect for this type of situation. There are many small beaches on the lake with waist high water which is perfect for this ball. The waves from the boats add extra fun to the ball making it bounce higher. I also played with it in a large pool think hotel size which works well. I have yet to try it on the ocean but I would assume if the waves are not big enough it would work just like a lake.
My Son LOVES IT My 7 yr old saw this in Key West FL and just had to have it got it when we returned home.

You can play bounce-catch, sharpen your reflexes, make spectacular diving catches, and have hours of fun.Perfect for children in the 10+ age group to develop their hand-eye coordination and reflexes and catching skills.Bounces five feet off the water.Lycra coating with polyurethane inside. The Waboba Ball literally bounces on water like a superball bounces on concrete. Simply toss the Waboba as if you were skipping a stone to achieve bounces as high as five feet. The Waboba is brightly colored and floats, so you don't need to worry about losing it in the ocean. The tough lycra covering ensures years of water-bouncing fun. The slight change to one of man's oldest playthings, offers an entirely new set of ways to have fun. Swede Jan von Heland had the idea a decade ago when playing at a lakeside holiday house in Sweden. Throwing a tennis ball and a Frisbee were fun, thought Jan, but a purpose-made ball with the right balance of buoyancy and surface finish and weight, that could actually bounce on water, would be so much better. So he began prolonged experimentation with materials, and eventually patented what has become the Waboba Ball. Perfect for the Beach and Pool -- Unlike traditional beach balls, the Waboba is made exclusively for water use. -- It bounces on top of the water as if it were a hard surface. Like a skipping stone you can catch, the ball also floats on water and is perfect for playing dozens of water games. -- The polyurethane and Lycra coating on Waboba makes it perfect for water, but not for use on any other surface. -- Waboba is 2 1/4" diameter in size.
